It has been 5 years since the achievement of crowdfunding. Thanks to everyone’s support, the Zikomo Project invited Zambian handball players to Japan in December 2016. Thank you so much once again!
International exchange through handball in Tokyo became an irreplaceable memory for Zambian players. Zambian youths who live a normal life probably never have this kind of opportunity as visiting Japan. It was a lifetime memory. They are all living hard in each of their lives.
Half of the players who came to Japan did not graduate from primary or secondary education and dropped out from the school for financial reasons. As a result of utilizing a part of the initial support for their back to school, all the players who supported took the General Certificate of Education (GCE) and graduated in 2021. Thank you so much for your support.
Players are becoming coaches, starting to attend business school, studying for study abroad, getting involved in the fitness industry, and starting their respective paths. However, they are still living a poor life and need support.
The Zikomo project will continue the efforts that can be made little by little, centering on the three pillars of sports development (handball and athletics), education, and nutrition.
